fishing regulations . Opening day: Saturday 4-25-09.

What's available?
*Indian Creek Reservoir: Located off Hwy 89 South,
midway between Woodfords and Markleeville.
A paved road leads you to this recreational site.
Campground opened 4-1-09 Facilities include: restrooms-hot
showers-drinking water-sanitary dump station- boat ramp--RV and tent
camping.
This 160 Acre reservoir is regularly planted with catchables
and trophy size Rainbows, courtesy of Alpine County fish and game
commission.
Special note: US forest Service
campgrounds at Crystal Springs (West Fork Carson River) and Markleeville
Creek will be open 4-25-09
*Summit Lake: Hike to the lake from trailhead at ICR, currently
water is low.
*West Fork Carson River: Trout planted before opening day. Bait, Lures and Flies OK!
Opening Saturday 4-25-09. Trophy size Rainbows planted by Alpine County
Fish & Game Commission.
Just west of Picketts Junction, there is a Handicap fishing area.
Discharge: cubic feet per second - 135
* East Carson - Trophy section regulations from
Hangman's Bridge-Downstream to Nevada.
Boarder. Open all year. Zero bag limit artificial lures, barbless hooks.
The upper section should be open from Wolf Creek to Hangman's

Due to Lawsuit filed earlier this
year against California Fish & game,
it is unknown what plants we can expect in April and May. I'll update
you after yearly Fish & Game meeting on April 17th.
Alpine County Fish and Game is not part of the Lawsuit We
have already planted Rainbows in the Rivers and will continue to do so
through out the year.
